Rev. Rolf Preus
Rev. Rolf Preus graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary (CTS), Fort Wayne, IN with a Masters of Divinity in 1979. He was ordained July 1, 1979 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, Minnesota and has served Lutheran congregations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Montana before he retired August 9, 2020. He has a Masters of Sacred Theology from CTS (1987). Rev. Preus has taught courses in theology for Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Concordia University Wisconsin, and St. Sophia Lutheran Theological Seminary in Ternopil, Ukraine. He has presented papers in numerous theological conferences over the years and is the author of numerous essays, most of which are available on this website. He has been married to Dorothy (nee Felts) since 1975. They have eleven sons and one daughter and over sixty-five grandchildren.
Rev. Rolf Preus started the Christ for Us broadcast and ran Christforus.org for many years. You may still read and listen to his sermons from years past as well as read his papers. He retired on August 9, 2020. His son, Rev. James Preus has taken over the broadcast and website. Rev. James Preus serves at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Rev. Rolf Preus continues to guest preach, present, and write in his retirement. His sermons and writings will be made available on this website.
